  1. 10+ years ago, we were embarrassed by the "Flash of Unstyled Text". Now, regularly, I start working on app pages when they appear to load, and some JavaScript runs on DOM ready and steals my focus (often on github pull request previews). We should be *more* embarrassed by this.
