QuinnyPig If you’re willing to stray from your tradition, Flavacol (I got mine from Amazon .ca) was a revelation for my popcorn game. I used to grind up kosher salt in my mortar and pestle to turn it to a powder, but this is even better. A teaspoon or so into the oil (yes, weird).
