  1. Is it just me, or have others become so jaded about app/service status pages that they often forget to even check the published status? More often than not, when a service fails (and it affects us), our own monitoring is more accurate than what the app owners have published…

      When it’s an upstream provider whose actual business is reliability, we can often count on them to be ahead of us. Fastly was, this morning: status.fastly.com/ It’s a service *we* use that in turn uses Fastly that is failing for us (and we noticed). #hugops to lxt today.
