      evanpro A little additional anecdotal data: - I’ve lived in two cities. Moncton and Montreal (counting the whole island here), each for around half of my life. I didn’t know how to answer your poll, so I didn't. Montreal is far from home, but it’s also home.

    evanpro - My teen daughter has lived in Montreal her whole life. She often fails to recognize Montreal’s significance. She’s visited other world-class cities, and is just too familiar with “normal” Montreal to recognize it. We discuss this when it comes up. Interesting perspective.
