  1. I have historically not been a fan of Docker and its ilk, for most common purposes, but credit where credit is due: MS/VSCode/GitHub's codespaces + devcontainers are great. (Especially if you run locally via colima instead of whatever Docker-proper is doing on macOS this week.)
